Alessandro Lupino comes close to win the MX of Nations

Gebben van Venrooy Kawasaki rider Alessandro Lupino finished second overall with team Italy in the MX of Nations. Team Italy qualified themselves strong on Saturday and were ready to battle in the main race on Sunday.

In the third and final moto it was Lupino who took the holeshot aboard his Kawasaki KX 450F. He was riding inside of the top three for a long time but due to a small mistake he lost a position to Gautier Paulin. In the final two laps he gave Antonio Cairoli some space to pass and the team had hoped that Cairoli was able to make up some more positions. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough and they finished second overall in the nations classification.

Team France became world champion in front of Italy and the Netherlands. This week the team starts with testing the new 2019 Kawasaki KX 450F machines for the upcoming season.
